Photovoltaic power plant "Prilep"

  1. Location

The photovoltaic power plant is located near the city of Prilep, in an area characterized by a moderately continental climate.

  2. Key Parameters

The photovoltaic power plant Prilep is a complex of five smaller photovoltaic power plants:
PVP EVN Varosh Solar 1, PVP EVN Varosh Solar 2, PVP EVN Varosh Solar 3, PVP EVN Varosh Solar 4, and PVP EVN Varosh Solar 5, with a total installed capacity of 3.4 MW.
The site receives an average annual solar radiation energy density of 1571 kWh/m². To maximize the available land area, 5,952 photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 575 Wp each have been installed at a 25° tilt angle, along with 18 inverters (power converters) rated at 100 kW. The panels are arranged in rows and oriented southward.

  3. Environmental Impact

Electricity generation from photovoltaic panels (solar cells) has a positive environmental impact by indirectly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Through the operation of this plant, CO₂ emissions are reduced by 31,000 kg annually.
